Interview With Jaclyn Brown | The Cowboy Way

Mercy: Can you share a little bit about yourself?
Jaclyn: Overall, I would consider myself a hard-working, organized person. I like to accomplish my goals, but I also like to have fun. My idea of fun is doing anything outside, especially on the water and traveling. I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and I practice pharmacy at a reputable hospital. I also help my husband, Booger Brown run his business, and I am a cast member on The Cowboy Way. The accomplishment that I am the most proud of is holding the title of ‘mom.’ My son, Matthew makes my life complete, and I am excited to see what our future holds.

Mercy: Can you share a little bit about the upcoming season of The Cowboy Way?
Jaclyn: As usual, there will be plenty of action and going to the Road to the Horse competition will be very emotional.

Mercy: What has been your favorite scene to film?
Jaclyn: I had a lot of fun during a scene where Matthew and I washed Booger’s cow dogs. That scene should be coming up in Season 6 and should be pretty entertaining.

Mercy: Any favorite behind-the-scene stories you can share from on-set of The Cowboy Way?
Jaclyn: The morning of my wedding. While we were all getting hair and makeup done, it started storming. Guests were arriving in the pouring rain and getting soaked. I was pretty worried the weather would ruin my wedding, but about 20 minutes before the ceremony, it cleared up and everything was perfect.

Mercy: What do you like to do most in your free time?
Jaclyn: This is an easy answer. Hands down, in my free time I want to be on the beach! I grew up playing in the sand, fishing and dodging waves. We still live fairly close to where I grew up, so it is very common to find me there.

Mercy: What are three things you can’t live without?
Jaclyn: I wouldn’t want to live without hot baths, coffee or my boat.

Mercy: If you could sit down and have a conversation with one person, living or dead; who would it be?
Jaclyn: I would most definitely want to have one more conversation with my dad. He passed away when I was 19 years old. I want to introduce Matthew to him, and I want to write down all of the stories he told me. He used to tell me so much, but my stupid teenager self didn’t listen very well.

Mercy: What does your perfect Sunday afternoon look like?
Jaclyn: My perfect Sunday afternoon would be Booger, Matthew and I riding horses, then grilling steaks while Matthew plays in the yard. Afterwards, I’d take a four wheeler ride around the pasture and check on the cattle.

Mercy: Any other upcoming projects you can share about?
Jaclyn: Booger has taken on a new role as ‘Fan Host’ at Road to the Horse. We are very excited about this, and we look forward to being involved in this prestigious event again.

Mercy: What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
Jaclyn: Most people don’t know that I’m an Affiliate Assistant Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Auburn University.
