Stitches in Time by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Stitches in Time by Suzanne Woods Fisher is the second book in the series The Deacon's Family.  Stoney Ridge is where schoolteacher Mollie Graber finds herself looking for a fresh start.  Knowling how temporary life is she has decided to live her life to the fullest and do what she can.  She volunteers to take in foster girls from a foster home when her church asks for volunteers.  What she thinks will be fun times with the girls is not the reality of what she faces.  Instead she has problems with the girls and has police knock on her door.

Luke Schrock a new deacon in the church is the one who has asked for people to help with the girls.  Mollie and the foster girls get drawn closer together when Sam Schrock a horse trainer gets involved because of the girls' interest in horses. They of course find themselves working together to change the girls' lives.  Be sure to check out this book, if you enjoy Amish fiction.
