Forged Through Fire By Mark D. McDonough, MD

The synopsis of Forged Through Fire-
"When Mark McDonough was a teen, a catastrophic fire claimed the lives of his mother and younger brother. It also left Mark with burns on over 65 percent of his body. During a long and painful recovery, his faltering faith in God was strengthened by a remarkable near-death experience. Inspired to pursue a career as a plastic surgeon to help those who suffer as he has, McDonough has overcome numerous other adversities on his journey, including addiction and a stroke. Now he shares his incredible true story of survival and perseverance to bring hope and healing to those dealing with great physical and emotional pain."

Mark McDonough took what many would say was one of the worst if not the worst moments of his life and turned it around to use for God's glory.
In Forged Through Fire Mark takes us through his own experiences to sow us how even though we go through things that we don't plan on- loss, personal trauma, disease, and more; God is still with us and hasn't forsaken us. This is the perfect gift to give anyone you know that has suffered through some of life worst pain. I would honestly recommend that every Christian give this book a read because honestly, we are all going to go through pain and loss and reading Mark's book will give you hope.
