Light From Distant Stars Book Review | Moments With Mercy

Without a doubt my family's favorite genre in Christian Fiction is suspense.  We all like a good mystery and this new book from Shawn Smucker definitely gives you one!  Here's the plot line-

"When Cohen Marah steps over the body of his dead father on a cold spring morning, he steps into a labyrinth of memory. In the week that follows, he must confront his traumatic past, a violent present, and the most frightening question of all-did he kill his father?"

Now I had personally never read not heard of any of Shawn's novels previously but I'm definitely intrigued and will be checking them out soon. I was impressed with the storyline and while I'd definitely not allow young adults to read Light From Distant Stars (at least until you have checked it out), its probably a bit too scary for them; I'd say its one of the best suspense books I've read in quite awhile.
