Tyler Hynes On Working With Hallmark, Flip That Romance & More!

In November of last year, I had the pleasure of interviewing Hallmark fan favorite Tyler Hynes before the release of his movie It's Christmas, Eve opposite LeAnn Rimes.  Well, guess what? This coming Saturday, Tyler has another Hallmark movie coming out!

Yes, you read that correctly! Saturday night, we can watch Tyler and Julie Gonzalo in Flip That Romance. This, like all of Tyler's other movies, is sure to quickly become a favorite.
I recently caught up with Tyler and today I get to share our interview with all of you lovely people, so without further ado...

Mercy: Can you share a little bit of what you've been working on since we last spoke?
Tyler: Well, we just wrapped up co-hosting the Spring Fever preview special. And Flip That Romance comes out in a week. Both were a lot of fun.

Mercy: What is your favorite movie/TV show that you've ever been a part of?
Tyler: There have been many great experiences for different reasons. These Hallmark films have been fun because everyone that's a part of them are incredible, kind, and inviting - including the fans.

Mercy: Can you share a little bit about your character in the upcoming Flip That Romance movie?
Tyler:  Lance Waddell is a contractor who works with his dad flipping houses. He’s Jules’s ex-boyfriend, who maybe has some making up to do to her. He’s come off a bit of a humbling experience after returning from a not so successful stint in the big city trying to expand his career. I think he’s grounded himself and has gotten back to what’s important to him.

Mercy: What actors have influenced your own acting?
Tyler: Some of the favorites that I’m sure are everyone’s, but here’s a few maybe less familiar names: Ben Mendelsohn, Olivia Colman, and Joe Pesci.

Mercy: Is there a fun story you can share from on-set of Flip That Romance?
Tyler: I was renovating my house when this project came up, so the timing was perfect. Unfortunately, my taste was a bit different from the character’s so I learned nothing. But I got to smash a hole in a wall! That was pretty cool. Did that answer the question? :)

Mercy: If you had the chance to choose, who would be your dream cast for a Hallmark movie?
Tyler: I would do one with my Hallmark buddies Andrew Walker, Brennan Elliott, and Marcus Rosner. Legends.

Mercy: What is a piece of advice you'd give to an aspiring actor?
Tyler: Do whatever it is you want to do, whenever you want to do it. Don’t worry about anything.

Mercy: What is the most rewarding part of being an actor?
Tyler: The people you meet and the interactions you have. It’s a unique circumstance to create relationships with people.

Mercy: Can you tell us a little bit about Flip That Romance and any other upcoming projects you have?
Tyler: Flip That Romance is gonna be a blast to see the houses come together and Julie and I push and pull each other.

PEACE is another film that I’m excited to see, World War II story. Bucket list movie!

Tyler, it was such a pleasure to have you on my blog again.  Thank you for taking the time.  Readers, Tyler is a multi-talented actor who I'm so excited to see becoming a regular on Hallmark.  He's always actively interacting with us fans, which is something that happens to make me even more a fan of an actor. Yes, I know people are busy, but it's always nice to see someone who makes the time to interact with their fans on social media.

If you don't already, click through the links below and follow Tyler on his social media AND make sure to to be watching Hallmark Channel this Saturday evening to see Tyler, Julie Gonzalo, Cardi Wong, and Crystal Lowe in Flip That Romance!
