Jaiven Natt Chats About His Character "Robert" on When Calls The Heart, Upcoming Projects, and More!

Hi all!
Today I have the pleasure of sharing my interview with Jaiven Natt, with all of you lovely folks.

Jaiven joined the cast of this beloved show back in 2014 and has quickly become an integral part.  People have loved seeing his scenes and watching his character grow over these past few years, and after this interview all I can say is they'll love his character even more!

At only 14 this young actor/dancer is only just getting started.  Speaking of getting started, shall we?

Mercy: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Jaiven:  Hi, I am 14 years old. I have been acting since I was 9 years old. I live in Vancouver Canada. My favorite sport is basketball. I have been a hip hop dancer since I was 2.5 years old. I love Micheal Jackson.  His music is what lead to my love of dance. I actually was hired at 2.5 years old to dance for 500 guest at a conference to Michael Jackson’s "The Way You Make Me Feel"... haha, and continued to dance at weddings, festivals and parties till I was 9.

Mercy: What started your interest in acting?
Jaiven: I loved watching movies (Spider-Man) and would memorize the actor's (Peter Parker's) lines, and then play with my action figures and recreate the movie. That is what made me want to be an actor. It was fun, and you get to be something different then what you are.

Mercy: What is your favorite thing about acting on WCTH?
Jaiven: My favorite part of acting on WCTH is that the writers have made Robert kinda funny and that he gets to get in to trouble a bit. But then he learns a lesson, so that’s fun. But also definitely love working with all the cast.  It’s like going home to family every time the new season starts to film.😊

Mercy: How are you most like and unlike your character Robert on WCTH?
Jaiven: I am most like Robert when it comes to being funny, I think. Also I think I am a good friend, and so is Robert. Robert makes a lot of mistakes and can make bad choices, then needs to learn a lesson. I have always been able to think ahead and don’t really get into trouble. I can see the mistakes and something going wrong before, so I wouldn’t make that choice.

Mercy: What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
Jaiven:  People don’t know I lived in LA for almost 2 months taking acting lessons when I was 9.
I also just started collecting sneakers, and I actually really like school.

Mercy: If you could write a storyline for Robert what would it be?
Jaiven: Robert the Investigator. 100% on a mission to find out the truth and the facts. With the help of my best buddies Cody, Timmy, and Harper

Mercy: Anything you can share with us about the upcoming season of When Calls The Heart?
Jaiven: Season 6 is so fun, lots of lessons and a new baby that the town is so excited for. I think season 6 shows hope that even when something really bad happens, something really good can still come from that. Also, to make memories because when someone is gone that’s all you have left. So I hope Fans and Hearties can see we tried really hard to make season 6 just for them.

Mercy: Any other upcoming projects you can tell us about?
Jaiven:  I am in a few things that are coming out this year. "Fast Lyne", it’s a Disney show, and I am in the movie "Goodboys" that is coming out this August to theatres.  I am excited for all the cool fun auditions that I have been going out for, so fingers crossed I book something. 🤞🏻
